Neckales

This project was in collaboration with Liztech Gallery, located in East Stroudsburg Pa. The necklaces were sold as part of their Holiday Pop Up Shop and were featured in the 'Made in PA' section.

THE PROCESS

Using the laser cutter within East Stroudsburg University G3D lab, I was able to laser cut and etch the wooden pendants. They were initially cut into two pieces (the base & frame). I then glued and sealed the frame to the base. Next, dried flowers were put into the frames, which were then covered with epoxy resin. The resin was left to dry for approximately 72 hours. Once dried, I added the backing, clasps, and leather cord.
